Elephant Wake
English Theatre: Studio Stage Series
3 November 2009 14 November 2009
"You can hear some things when you pretend not to listen." Jean Claude
What do you do when youre the last surviving member of a community? Produced originally as a Fringe Theatre production, a full-length version of Elephant Wake was commissioned and premiered by Globe Theatre in 2008, complete with a visually stunning papier mache townscape. Elephant Wake is a provocative, compelling character study about the last man left in Ste. Vierge, a defunct Francophone town and the prosperous nearby English town of Welby in Saskatchewan.
"This is a memorable and remarkable piece of character driven visual theatre which you will feel privileged to have experienced." The Stage (London)
Did You Know?
1) Originally appeared at the Edmonton Fringe Festival in 1995
