En allumant le ciel comme tous les soirs, Pierrot, le veilleur de nuit, décroche involontairement une étoile. Le petit Pretzel sen aperçoit et la recueille aussitôt dans son grand panier. Mais que de péripéties pour la remettre à sa place! Afin dy parvenir, Pretzel doit sélancer sur un fil daraignée, traverser le corridor du sommeil, plonger au fond de locéan à la poursuite du poisson-perle et résister au charme du dompteur de bulles.
Du Théâtre de lŒil, réputée compagnie de création jeune public se consacrant à lart de la marionnette, on a pu voir au cours des dernières années Ah, la vache!, La Cité des Loups, Un secret de Polichinelle, La Félicité et Un autre monde. Avec Le Porteur, triomphe mondial, il revient au CNA, où le spectacle a été créé en 1997. Œuvre phare dans le parcours de ce « théâtre dimages », cette fable sans paroles ne connaît pas de frontières.

One night, as he is lighting up the evening sky, Pierrot, the star keeper, accidentally dislodges a star. Luckily, little Pretzel notices; he puts the star safely in his big basket and sets out on an epic adventure to return it to its proper place in the heavens. He must climb up a spider's thread, cross the dormitory of dreams, dive to the ocean depths in pursuit of pearl-fish, and resist the bewitching charms of a bubble tamer before he can complete his very important task.
The award-winning puppet company Théâtre de lŒil is no stranger to the NAC: over the past few years we have presented their creations Ah, la vache!, La Cité des Loups, Un secret de Polichinelle, La Félicité, and Un autre monde. We welcome them back with the internationally acclaimed Le Porteur (The Star Keeper). First presented in 1997, this engaging, accessible fable, told without using a single word, has become the special envoy of the companys "theatre of images."
